Professional Brand XP Laptops

Buying a laptop isn’t like what it used to be. When I bought my first laptop it only took me an hour to decide because there wasn’t a lot of choice. In fact choosing a laptop was based more on money rather than options. Today, there are so many laptops and options available that it can be hard to decide on which one is best for you. But one thing that people are noticing is that Windows XP is the preferred operating system even over the newest windows systems. So let’s talk about what to look for when buying an XP laptop.

The first thing I have to say is that you should get a copy of Windows XP as fast as you can. I mean, Microsoft isn’t going to keep producing them with all of their newer Windows operating systems coming out. It’s going to be difficult to find a copy in the near future.

Microsoft has already said it’s not going to produce any more of the professional copies of XP for XP laptops and the Home version will be limited to the mini computers like the Netbook. Unfortunately, even if you get a copy of Windows XP with your Netbook, it is not going to be the same version that you would get with a regular sized computer because there are limitations to its hardware.

"The XP Laptop Is Still The Best Today!"

If you’re looking for an XP laptop online from the big brands such as Dell, Hp, Sony, Gateway or Alienware, they make it even more difficult for you to buy a laptop loaded with XP because they are all blasting out Vista and Windows 7. If you do some looking in to the options you should still be able to find the place to choose Windows XP as your operating system. In some cases you may even have to call them and have it ordered specifically. Some companies will actually charge you money to “down-grade.” What a load of crap!

I think the best place I’ve found to look at XP laptops is at Office and Business Depot. They have all of the same stuff you can find online and you can talk to a person about everything you want specifically. Not to mention, buying a laptop from these places makes it easy to take advantage of their warranty if you should have any problems.

But just because I think looking at them in a store is great, it doesn't mean that great deals can't be found online as well. You will have to do some shopping around, but it will be worth your time.

The XP laptop is becoming a rare breed and I think Microsoft is insane for not continuing production of Windows XP. There aren’t a lot of people who are dazzled by Windows Vista, or Windows 7, and its system requirements are absolutely appalling. There are so many software drivers and programs designed for XP that it just makes sense to use something that is fast, compatible, and already used by millions of people.
