Inkjet And Laser Printers

With so many printer options on the market it can be a frustrating experience trying to pick the right one. But
thankfully we are here to help you out. The printer that you need will depend on several different factors. But
even then, you will have other options to consider. For most people, the biggest choices are going to be between an
inkjet printer and a laser printer.
The first issue that comes when buying a printer is money. Money should be one of your biggest concerns no
matter what you choose. Because printers require ink, dye, or toner they are a reoccurring expense
that can add up to thousands of dollars. You will also need to consider the types of printer paper whether it be
regular A4 or photo paper.
The second issue is whether you plan on doing color printing or not. An inkjet is probably the most common
option since color cartridges can be found anywhere at a decent startup price. Color laser printers are much more
expensive and color toner is not cheap.
And the final issue is the features that the printer has. Some printers have abilities to be wireless, fax
documents, print photos, scan documents, and other home office features that consumers have requested.
The printing features of the printer should be your main concern since they will probably be the biggest reason
to be using it. You should come up with a list of things you want out of your printer and write them down. This
will give you the basis for questions to ask or research about. In general, I like to have 2 or 3 printers
that I think would be good and choose the cheapest. Once you get experience with owning a printer then it will be
easier to choose the next time. Believe me, a printer won’t last your entire lifetime.
A quick suggestion on printers is that if you want to print black and white documents then choose a laser
printer since it will be most cost effective over the long run. If you want print a lot of pictures then choose a
photo printer that caters to high resolution colors. And if you want to do a bit of both, a regular inkjet printer
is probably your best bet.
